The vinyl-only release “MDMA-TION” from north west outfit ATM Musick blends gothic post-punk with neo-psych textures. Basslines from Bobby Thorpe underpin guitars and spectral synths, with a sprinkling of psychedelia by Psychederek wrapped around Louie Dunkin’s haunting vocals. Andy Happer’s drums lift “Until I Found You” on Side A, and the angelic voice of Jordan Rigby-Farrell shines on two standout tracks. Side B finds Doc Sonus transforming the originals into otherworldly form, including the closing cut “MDMA-TION (Drone)”, which eases into a slow-burn comedown.
