Description
Luke Una’s É Soul Cultura imprint launches its new partnership with Mr Bongo in style, bringing together UK garage innovator Zed Bias and rising Ghanaian-British producer MJK for a superb double-header of future-facing club music. *Keep On Livin’ / Late To Camberwell* is a concise but hugely effective release, pairing heavyweight techno pressure with deep, late-night house sophistication.
On the A-side, “Keep On Livin'” finds Zed Bias and MJK combining their talents to create a hypnotic, bass-driven groove rooted in soul music but filtered through Detroit techno influences and distinctly UK soundsystem sensibilities. Built from rolling percussion, warm keys and subtle vocal samples, it’s a track designed to lock dancers into motion.
Flip it over and MJK takes centre stage with “Late To Camberwell”, a stripped-back and immersive house workout. Swirling synths, crisp drums and deep rolling rhythms create an atmospheric journey that has drawn comparisons to classic Detroit-inspired UK underground productions.
A brilliant meeting of established pedigree and emerging talent, this is essential listening for fans of underground house, techno and bass music.
