Record Store Day UK 2025 – How it works at Tasty Records
With Record Store Day fast approaching and our final orders going in, we thought we’d answer some FAQs and give you a full overview of how things work on the day at Tasty Records! As always, you can contact us with any specific queries or drop us a line on Instagram.
This year is due to be our biggest Record Store Day yet and we’ll be opening our doors at 8am to greet you. People began queueing in the early hours of the morning last year, so the earlier you’re able to arrive, the greater the likelihood that you’ll get exactly what you’re after.
We’ve been taking your requests since the day the list was announced and we’ve ordered at least one copy of every title you’ve asked us to stock. That being said, in accordance with RSD rules, nothing can be pre-ordered or reserved, so you must be able to attend the shop on the day to buy your requests. Anything that doesn’t sell out on the day will be available to buy in store afterwards and will become available online at 8pm on Monday 14th April.
We’ve ordered a few lesser-requested titles that we’re excited about too, so if you’re taken by something between now and the day, we may just be stocking that too!
As we begin serving customers, we’ll be updating a pinned post on our Instagram page with low and sold out stock. You’ll be able to keep track on the availability of the records you want there, as well as on our website, where titles will be removed as soon as they sell out. Our RSD stock will be available to browse on our website before the day, but not available to order online until 8pm on Monday 14th.
We’ve got some really exciting plans to make Record Store Day at Tasty Records extra special! Off the back of their sell out debut at The DBA, we’ll have Nite School DJs spinning tunes in the shop all day, and as an extra incentive to shop with us we’ll be giving away some incredible goodies: record players, bags, merch…we’ll announce the full offering very soon!
