Description
A departure from the shiny, upbeat indie-pop sound that had made them so popular earlier that decade, 1999’s Tilt saw The Lightning Seeds pursue a more electronic sound and utilised far less optimistic lyrics than before.
Featuring the singles ‘Life’s Too Short’ and ‘Sweetest Soul Sensations’, it found favour with critics but fared far less well commercially than its predecessors and led to Ian Broudie putting the group on hiatus.
