Matt Bellamy had to run out of metaphors for resistance and rebellion in the era of late-stage capitalism at some point – ‘Will Of The People’, the ninth Muse album, closes with a song simply titled ‘We Are F***ing F***ed’. Dystopian themes are set to electronically enhanced glam rock, furious riffage and histrionic vocal deliveries. Cartoonishly Muse-esque, but enjoyably so.
