Description
SPECIAL RECORD STORE DAY RELEASE FEATURING PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED STUDIO RECORDINGS, PRESENTED ON COKE BOTTLE GREEN 10 VINYL.
The Pretty Things were one of the earliest & most influential bands to emerge from the British R&B & rock underground of the 1960s, with a career spanning several decades & encompassing garage rock, psychedelia & later experimental studio work. Founded by Dick Taylor following his departure from The Rolling Stones, the band remained a cult presence with a strong artistic identity throughout its long history.
This Record Store Day release presents four studio recordings that were originally left unfinished & have now been recently completed. Conceived as a tribute by founder member Dick Taylor, the release honours the late vocalist Phil May & the band’s longstanding manager & producer Mark St John. Issued on coke-bottle coloured vinyl, the 10 format documents the band’s final creative period & later studio output.
